Not even going to estimate the power increase. We tried that with the Hellcat and we were way off. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! discussing what is known so far.

By the power of Grayskull, I HAVE THE HORSEPOWER!!

Given the way they are going, I would expect nothing under 800HP.

or 770, or more (hopefully)

I know the motor is good for close to that without a SC, so easily 800 under a warranty with a supercharger. I'm just waiting for an ACR.

Honestly, Dodge could crack 1000HP if they wanted to beef the rest of the drivetrain up and still offer a warranty. That motor can take abuse .

The SRT boys really are nuts...right up there with the AMG guys.

1000hp for somewhere around $100-120k. What'd be the HP per $$ ratio on that?? HOLY CRAP
![]() 08/19/2014 at 22:53 |

I don't even think it would take much to get there.

770 isn't enough. All the interweb "experts" would bitch about it only having 63 more ponies than the Challenger/Charger.
If Ma Mopar is really going to strut her stuff, making 10 louder won't do.
If they're going to blow on the Viper they need to go to 11 and give it 808 at a minimum.

I thinking 800+
If we get 900 0r close I will lose my shit.

Just read the link. It sounds like the Transmission guys need to get to work.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a 1k hp V10 in the near future.

I have a feeling it would come in closer to 150k, but still. You can't even get 100HP in a $15,000 car. The Hellcat would be the only thing with a better HP/$ ratio.

So when are we going to get a mid-engine Viper?
*ducks*

I'm pretty psyched about this, but not sure whether the car needs it, except to beat Vettes.

I hope this one whoops the F12

Try adding more to that figure. The car already cost that much. Ain't no way that a new Viper with 1000, let alone 770, or even 800 hp would be that cheap. The Earth would sooner rotate on it's axis backwards before that happens.

Corporate Bosses may not allow it. The F12 is a beast—-and probably will get a few more hp upgrades before a big bite Viper is allowed. Or, Dodge can make a kit and sell the kit, so that they are not stepping on the Ferrari's hooves. Ferrari is Fiat's pride and joy, horse vs snake, Fiat and most people would pick the horse.

I know. That's why the most recent viper didn't gain a single hp. The hp/lb ratio had to be a certain percentage below the F12.
